What’s Your “Why?”

So often, we women find ourselves busy, busy, busy. Is this your norm? Busy. Taking care of family members, work demands, volunteering, doing all the things for others but not ourselves ('cuz who has time for that?).

Then one day, it dawns on us. "What about me?" I have a problem with X, and I've let time drone on so now X is a big concern. Then one day, you finally get fed up with X. Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

That was me. My "X" was eXtra weight and diminished energy. I was sick and tired of carrying an extra inner tube around with me. Tired of bloating. Of gas. Of not being able to poop (sorry, TMI, I know, but just tellin' ya like it was).

Until I found a way to eat that didn't drag me down. I didn't have time to add gym days, or extra routines. I had time to eat though! :) Eating the right foods was key.

I had dreams and goals. I had places to go, people to see and things to do. I had my "whys" for getting healthier. For dropping weight. For moving with more freedom. All. Day. Long.

So, this new eating pattern and my new healthy habits, KNOWING what I can eat without gaining or bloating, this gave me the freedom to do all the things on my list. To live out my "why" and do it with gusto (and I kinda liked what I saw in the mirror a little better too--always a nice thing).

That change I made, those new habits I started to develop and the kinds of foods I started to eat, happened almost a decade ago. And it just got better from there. I never looked back because it's still working!

And even at the half-century mark, I get to live out my "why."

*What's your "why?"
*What do you dream of doing?
*How do you see your future healthier self?
*What would you do if your health didn't hold you back?

I believe in you. I believe that women are powerful contributors to society, who are WORTH living out their dreams, and that having health hiccups isn't necessarily our destiny.

I'm not talking about a diet. I'm talking REAL FOOD. I'm talking a sustainable lifestyle with long-lasting results.

I'm not talking miracle powders or fancy lab made packaged foods, or getting all science-y with tracking hormones or macros. I just want to eat, and my clients just want to eat too. Eating nutritious foods and having the "why" at the center of it all = key to success!
